Our on-site Completed Electrical Safety Inspections examine the Physical Condition and Performance tests according to NFPA-99, AAMI and Manufacturer’s recommended standards.   All cord-connected medical equipment that comes in contact with a patient or is used in patient vicinity is required to pass an annual or semi-annual safety test.  All equipment is labeled with a control number that refernaces a summary report and a detailed reading explanation for each piece of equipment.

Ground Fault Outlet (GFCI) Testing and Electrical Outlet Tension Testing is completed in all physician’s rooms and patient areas.  GCFI monitors the ground current and interrupts the power when the ground current exceeds 6mA. These are tested with a GFCI tester to ensure they trip as they are designated to do.  Electrical Tension testing permits that outlets have a retention force that meets the standard requirements.
